As part of our topic this term, we had a special visit from Pete Watts, Farmer and Head of the Lyneham Estate. Pete spent the day talking to the children about how the estate is run. The children had the opportunity to see samples of corn, wheat, barley, animal feed, oilseed rape and sheep wool. We were also able to see his brand new tractor, costing £128 000, and sit up top in the driver's seat! We look forward to using the visit to support our research and understanding of farming.
