Life on The Yealm Bioblitz
Pine and Elm class joined scientists from the MBA and South Devon AONB to study living things in and around the River Yealm.
Children in Elm and Pine classes joined the children of Newton Ferrers school to spend a day finding out about living things in and around the river Yealm. They were taking part in the Life on The Yealm Bioblitz, a 24 hour study of the biodiversity of an area. We found some amazing creatures and there were plenty of experts on hand to help us identify them and tell us more about how they live. This was the second part of our study about the river Yealm, following on from our survey of the river in Yealmpton in June.
